Classical Classics

Casual Classics is a late-morning concert which includes excerpts from the evening concert's repertoire. Brand new for the 2009-2010 season, Casual Classics will replace the Finishing touches Open Dress Rehearals. Don't expect a rehearsal, it's a shortened casual concert perfect for families, children and those who prefer daytime events. Maestro Robert Franz will interact with the audience and comment on the works performed. Casual Classics highlights include guest conductor Vladimir Verbitsky, members of the BSU Orchestra, pianist Bryan Wallick and young Caroline Goulding.

All Casual Classics concerts are at 11:00 AM at the Morrison Center.

Dates are as follows:

Saturday, September 26, 2009: The Planets
Saturday, November 21, 2009: Pyotr Tchaikovsky
Saturday, January 23, 2010: A Salute to Opera Idaho
Saturday, May 15, 2010: Season Finale with Caroline Goulding
